panic key and hiding the menu while streaming

streaming the isle on a single monitor and the menu sits right in the middle of the capture. i know there's a panic key but i've never set one up. what are people binding it to

Hilo cerradomisc tab, custom panic key. bind it to something your pinky can hit without leaving wasd. caps lock is popular
caps lock toggles my push to talk, conflict city
then don't use caps lock
windowed borderless and drag the game window slightly off center, then crop it in obs. menu ends up outside the capture entirely and you never touch the panic key
this is the actual answer and it took three posts to get here
crop filter is more work than a keybind though
you set it once
crop filter worked. menu is off screen, no keybind needed. thanks mudflat
still set the panic key. obs preview doesn't show what the capture actually grabs half the time
